Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Six years ago we gathered in this Square to celebrate the funeral of Pope John Paul II. Our grief at his loss was deep, but even greater was our sense of an immense grace which embraced Rome and the whole world: a grace which was in some way the fruit of my beloved predecessor’s entire life, and especially of his witness in suffering. Even then we perceived the fragrance of his sanctity, and in any number of ways God’s People showed their veneration for him. For this reason, with all due respect for the Church’s canonical norms, I wanted his cause of beatification to move forward with reasonable haste. And now the longed-for day has come; it came quickly because this is what was pleasing to the Lord: John Paul II is blessed!

I would like to offer a cordial greeting to all of you who on this happy occasion have come in such great numbers to Rome from all over the world – cardinals, patriarchs of the Eastern Catholic Churches, brother bishops and priests, official delegations, ambassadors and civil authorities, consecrated men and women and lay faithful, and I extend that greeting to all those who join us by radio and television.

Today is the Second Sunday of Easter, which Blessed John Paul II entitled Divine Mercy Sunday. The date was chosen for today’s celebration because, in God’s providence, my predecessor died on the vigil of this feast. Today is also the first day of May, Mary’s month, and the liturgical memorial of Saint Joseph the Worker. All these elements serve to enrich our prayer, they help us in our pilgrimage through time and space; but in heaven a very different celebration is taking place among the angels and saints! Even so, God is but one, and one too is Christ the Lord, who like a bridge joins earth to heaven. At this moment we feel closer than ever, sharing as it were in the liturgy of heaven.

“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe” (Jn 20:29). In today’s Gospel Jesus proclaims this beatitude: the beatitude of faith. For us, it is particularly striking because we are gathered to celebrate a beatification, but even more so because today the one proclaimed blessed is a Pope, a Successor of Peter, one who was called to confirm his brethren in the faith. John Paul II is blessed because of his faith, a strong, generous and apostolic faith. We think at once of another beatitude: “Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven” (Mt 16:17). What did our heavenly Father reveal to Simon? That Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Because of this faith, Simon becomes Peter, the rock on which Jesus can build his Church. The eternal beatitude of John Paul II, which today the Church rejoices to proclaim, is wholly contained in these sayings of Jesus: “Blessed are you, Simon” and “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe!” It is the beatitude of faith, which John Paul II also received as a gift from God the Father for the building up of Christ’s Church.

Our thoughts turn to yet another beatitude, one which appears in the Gospel before all others. It is the beatitude of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of the Redeemer. Mary, who had just conceived Jesus, was told by Saint Elizabeth: “Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her by the Lord” (Lk 1:45). The beatitude of faith has its model in Mary, and all of us rejoice that the beatification of John Paul II takes place on this first day of the month of Mary, beneath the maternal gaze of the one who by her faith sustained the faith of the Apostles and constantly sustains the faith of their successors, especially those called to occupy the Chair of Peter. Mary does not appear in the accounts of Christ’s resurrection, yet hers is, as it were, a continual, hidden presence: she is the Mother to whom Jesus entrusted each of his disciples and the entire community. In particular we can see how Saint John and Saint Luke record the powerful, maternal presence of Mary in the passages preceding those read in today’s Gospel and first reading. In the account of Jesus’ death, Mary appears at the foot of the cross (Jn 19:25), and at the beginning of the Acts of the Apostles she is seen in the midst of the disciples gathered in prayer in the Upper Room (Acts 1:14).

Today’s second reading also speaks to us of faith. Saint Peter himself, filled with spiritual enthusiasm, points out to the newly-baptized the reason for their hope and their joy. I like to think how in this passage, at the beginning of his First Letter, Peter does not use language of exhortation; instead, he states a fact. He writes: “you rejoice”, and he adds: “you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls” (1 Pet 1:6, 8-9). All these verbs are in the indicative, because a new reality has come about in Christ’s resurrection, a reality to which faith opens the door. “This is the Lord’s doing”, says the Psalm (118:23), and “it is marvelous in our eyes”, the eyes of faith.

Dear brothers and sisters, today our eyes behold, in the full spiritual light of the risen Christ, the beloved and revered figure of John Paul II. Today his name is added to the host of those whom he proclaimed saints and blesseds during the almost twenty-seven years of his pontificate, thereby forcefully emphasizing the universal vocation to the heights of the Christian life, to holiness, taught by the conciliar Constitution on the Church Lumen Gentium. All of us, as members of the people of God – bishops, priests, deacons, laity, men and women religious – are making our pilgrim way to the heavenly homeland where the Virgin Mary has preceded us, associated as she was in a unique and perfect way to the mystery of Christ and the Church. Karol Wojtyla took part in the Second Vatican Council, first as an auxiliary Bishop and then as Archbishop of Kraków. He was fully aware that the Council’s decision to devote the last chapter of its Constitution on the Church to Mary meant that the Mother of the Redeemer is held up as an image and model of holiness for every Christian and for the entire Church. This was the theological vision which Blessed John Paul II discovered as a young man and subsequently maintained and deepened throughout his life. A vision which is expressed in the scriptural image of the crucified Christ with Mary, his Mother, at his side. This icon from the Gospel of John (19:25-27) was taken up in the episcopal and later the papal coat-of-arms of Karol Wojtyla: a golden cross with the letter “M” on the lower right and the motto “Totus tuus”, drawn from the well-known words of Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort in which Karol Wojtyla found a guiding light for his life: “Totus tuus ego sum et omnia mea tua sunt. Accipio te in mea omnia. Praebe mihi cor tuum, Maria – I belong entirely to you, and all that I have is yours. I take you for my all. O Mary, give me your heart” (Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin, 266).

In his Testament, the new Blessed wrote: “When, on 16 October 1978, the Conclave of Cardinals chose John Paul II, the Primate of Poland, Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski, said to me: ‘The task of the new Pope will be to lead the Church into the Third Millennium’”. And the Pope added: “I would like once again to express my gratitude to the Holy Spirit for the great gift of the Second Vatican Council, to which, together with the whole Church – and especially with the whole episcopate – I feel indebted. I am convinced that it will long be granted to the new generations to draw from the treasures that this Council of the twentieth century has lavished upon us. As a Bishop who took part in the Council from the first to the last day, I desire to entrust this great patrimony to all who are and will be called in the future to put it into practice. For my part, I thank the Eternal Shepherd, who has enabled me to serve this very great cause in the course of all the years of my Pontificate”. And what is this “cause”? It is the same one that John Paul II presented during his first solemn Mass in Saint Peter’s Square in the unforgettable words: “Do not be afraid! Open, open wide the doors to Christ!” What the newly-elected Pope asked of everyone, he was himself the first to do: society, culture, political and economic systems he opened up to Christ, turning back with the strength of a titan – a strength which came to him from God – a tide which appeared irreversible. By his witness of faith, love and apostolic courage, accompanied by great human charisma, this exemplary son of Poland helped believers throughout the world not to be afraid to be called Christian, to belong to the Church, to speak of the Gospel. In a word: he helped us not to fear the truth, because truth is the guarantee of liberty. To put it even more succinctly: he gave us the strength to believe in Christ, because Christ is Redemptor hominis, the Redeemer of man. This was the theme of his first encyclical, and the thread which runs though all the others.

When Karol Wojtyla ascended to the throne of Peter, he brought with him a deep understanding of the difference between Marxism and Christianity, based on their respective visions of man. This was his message: man is the way of the Church, and Christ is the way of man. With this message, which is the great legacy of the Second Vatican Council and of its “helmsman”, the Servant of God Pope Paul VI, John Paul II led the People of God across the threshold of the Third Millennium, which thanks to Christ he was able to call “the threshold of hope”. Throughout the long journey of preparation for the great Jubilee he directed Christianity once again to the future, the future of God, which transcends history while nonetheless directly affecting it. He rightly reclaimed for Christianity that impulse of hope which had in some sense faltered before Marxism and the ideology of progress. He restored to Christianity its true face as a religion of hope, to be lived in history in an “Advent” spirit, in a personal and communitarian existence directed to Christ, the fullness of humanity and the fulfillment of all our longings for justice and peace.

Finally, on a more personal note, I would like to thank God for the gift of having worked for many years with Blessed Pope John Paul II. I had known him earlier and had esteemed him, but for twenty-three years, beginning in 1982 after he called me to Rome to be Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, I was at his side and came to revere him all the more. My own service was sustained by his spiritual depth and by the richness of his insights. His example of prayer continually impressed and edified me: he remained deeply united to God even amid the many demands of his ministry. Then too, there was his witness in suffering: the Lord gradually stripped him of everything, yet he remained ever a “rock”, as Christ desired. His profound humility, grounded in close union with Christ, enabled him to continue to lead the Church and to give to the world a message which became all the more eloquent as his physical strength declined. In this way he lived out in an extraordinary way the vocation of every priest and bishop to become completely one with Jesus, whom he daily receives and offers in the Eucharist.

Blessed are you, beloved Pope John Paul II, because you believed! Continue, we implore you, to sustain from heaven the faith of God’s people. Amen.

Growing up, John Paul was athletic and enjoyed skiing and swimming. He went to Krakow's Jagiellonian University in 1938 where he showed an interest in theater and poetry. The school was closed the next year by Nazi troops during the German occupation of Poland. Wanting to become a priest, John Paul began studying at a secret seminary run by the archbishop of Krakow. After World War II ended, he finished his religious studies at a Krakow seminary and was ordained in 1946.

John Paul spent two years in Rome where he finished his doctorate in theology. He returned to his native Poland in 1948 and served in several parishes in and around Krakow. John Paul became the bishop of Ombi in 1958 and then the archbishop of Krakow six years later. Considered one of the Catholic Church's leading thinkers, he participated in the Second Vatican Council—sometimes called Vatican II. The council began reviewing church doctrine in 1962 and held several sessions over the course of the next few years. As a member of the council, John Paul helped the church to examine its position in the world. Well regarded for his contributions to the church, John Paul was made a cardinal in 1967 by Pope Paul VI.

In 1978, John Paul made history by becoming the first non-Italian pope in more than four hundred years. As the leader of the Catholic Church, he traveled the world, visiting more than 100 countries to spread his message of faith and peace. But he was close to home when he faced the greatest threat to his life. In 1981, an assassin shot John Paul twice in St. Peter's Square in Vatican City. Fortunately, he was able to recover from his injuries and later forgave his attacker.

A vocal advocate for human rights, John Paul often spoke out about suffering in the world. He held strong positions on many topics, including his opposition to capital punishment. A charismatic figure, John Paul used his influence to bring about political change and is credited with the fall of communism in his native Poland. He was not without critics, however. Some have stated that he could be harsh with those who disagreed with him and that he would not compromise his hard-line stance on certain issues, such as contraception.

In his later years, John Paul's health appeared to be failing. At public appearances, moved slowly and seemed unsteady on his feet. He also visibly trembled at times. While one of his doctors disclosed that John Paul had Parkinson's disease, a brain disorder often characterized by shaking, in 2001. But there was never any official announcement about his illness from the Vatican.

John Paul II died on April 2, 2005, at his Vatican City residence. More than three million people waited in line to say good-bye to their beloved religious leader at St. Peter's Basilica before his funeral on April 8. Church officials began the process of making John Paul II a saint soon after his death, waving the usual five-year waiting period.

POPE JOHN PAUL II VISITS PHILIPPINES

The poor settlers in the slums of Tondo in Manila still remember the day the pope came 30 years ago.

“I was a choir member, and our chapel was still being built,” Marissa Receo recalled the pope’s visit on February 18, 1981.

“We still had a dirt floor and only a long wooden table for our altar,” said Dolores San Juan, now a member of the Catholic Women’s League.

“When Pope John Paul II came, the people flocked to the church and we were very excited,” another resident said.

“We love him because he told us our church would soon be finished and in a less than a year we had our first Mass inside the building,” she added.

No church can be too big for a parish of more than 90,000 people, nearly half of them Catholics. The structure was built on Del Pan Street near the port of Manila.

Most parishioners earn a living from industries and casual work on the docks. There are often new faces in walled-in neighborhoods of shanties piled as high as three floors, one floor per family, many of them migrants.

With the coming beatification of Pope John Paul II, the parish opens its doors to people from other areas for a “public viewing” of the chair used by the pope during his visit.

“It has been part of history,” said Father Joseph Granada, parish priest of Tondo.

In the northern province of Bataan, the faithful are going all out to prepare for the day of the late pope’s beatification on Sunday.

People recall that three months before the pope arrived in the Philippines in 1981, a Vietnamese refugee scoured the rain forest of Bataan to look for the best hardwood tree to carve an image of a crucified Christ.

The Vietnamese artisan and his fellow refugees presented the wooden cross to the pope during the Mass held at the refugee camp.

Today is my mother's 58th birthday. We don't have celebration today because she is sick. She has fever & cough. For today, I just brought cake. My Dad prepared some foods for Dinner. Tomorrow, if she and my bother (with fever also) will get well maybe we could celebrate it with her favorite chinese restaurant in Alabang.

I was touch with my nephews, they make a banner made of catolina and when you pull it out you will read the greetings of Happy Birthday!They are so creative....

Sometimes we ask ourselves: What did I do to deserve this?

Why does God let these things happen to me?

Here is the explanation...
A daughter tells her mother how everything is going wrong for her; She probably failed her Math exam,
...Her boyfriend just dumped her... for her best friend.
In times so sad, a good mother knows just the thing to cheer up her daughter... “I make a delicious cake.” In that moment themother hugged her daughter and walked her to the kitchen, while her daughter attempted to smile.
While the mother prepared the utencils and ingredients, her daughter sat across from her at the counter. Her mother asks,“Sweetheart, would you like a piece of cake?” Her daughter replies, “Sure,mom, you know how I love cake.”

“Alright...” the mother said, “Drink some of this cooking oil.” Shocked, the daughter responded,“What?!? No way!!!

“How about a couple of raw eggs?” To this the daughter responded, “Are you kidding?”

“How about a little flour?” “No, mom, I’ll be sick!”

The mother responded, “All of these things are uncooked and taste bad, but if you put them together...

...They make a delicious cake!”

God works the same way. When we ask ourselves why does he make us go through these difficult times, we don’t realize the what/where these events may bring us. Only He knows and he will not let us fall. We don’t need to settle for the raw ingredients, trust in Him... And see something fantastic come about!

God loves us so much... He send us flowers every spring...

...He makes the sun rise every morning...

... And anytime you need to talk... He is there to listen!

He can live anywhere in the universe... But He choses to live in your heart!

Its been a busy week.... Well as usual monthly reports need to review and submit to Head Office for consolidation. I have to finish it in 2 days time. I had a business review for Bicol Distributors and the schedule is hectic. We do not have time for sight seeing because the group traveled by land.

We leave San Pablo, Nov. 5, 5AM our first call at Naga 3PM. The schedules are really tight this time. Before we had reviews for 3 Distributors in 1 week time, but now it was only for 3 days. Imagine we travel all the way up to Sorsogon..... Hmmmmmm tiring days!!!!! .

On the day that we were in Sorsogon we experienced heavy rains and earthquake (approximately at 4 or less). Ohhhh I was really nervous and wondering what to do if there would be brownouts and Hotel does not have generator. I was praying... praying and praying.... Thanks God that everything were okay!!!

GIFT OF NEW ETERNAL LIFE

November 4 before I left for Bicol, I received a sad news from e-mail. A good friend of mine died. I felt sad and pray to God for her soul. At the same time its good too for her, she will not anymore feel the pain of her sickness.
She is one of my friend from Canossian congregation. I remember the times when I was still studying in Manila, many times we bump each other at the bus terminal going to San Pablo (her home town). Even when I was working in Manila & Alabang, I still see her in terminal. She is a very joyful person and we share some stories. She always remember me on my birthdays well except for my last 2 birthdays and I understand her.
In one of her e-mails to me two years ago I was touch how she share the story: She keeps on telling me "Lets continue to pray for each other"

Here's a message that will bring you chills. Have you ever felt the urge to pray for someone and then just put it on a list and said, "I'll pray for them later?" Or has anyone ever called you and said, "I need you to pray for me, I have this need?"Read the following story that was sent to me and may it change the way that you may think about prayer and also the way you pray. You will be blessed by this.A missionary on furlough told this true story while visiting his home church in Michigan."While serving at a small field hospital in Africa, every two weeks I traveled by bicycle through the jungle to a nearby city for supplies. This was a journey of two days and required camping overnight at the halfway point.On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city where I planned to collect money from a bank, purchase medicine, and supplies, and then begin my two-day journey back to the field hospital.Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been seriously injured. I treated him for his injuries and at the same time talked to him about the Lord.I then traveled two days, camping overnight, and arrived home without incident.Two weeks later I repeated my journey.Upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated. He told me that he had known I carried money and medicines. He said, 'Some friends and I followed you into the jungle, knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs.But just as we were about to move into your camp, we saw that you were surrounded by 26 armed guards.At this, I laughed and said that I was certainly all alone in that jungle campsite.The young man pressed the point, however, and said, 'No, sir, I was not the only person to see the guards, my friends also saw them, and we all counted them. It was because of those guards that we were afraid and left you alone.'At this point in the sermon, one of the men in the congregation jumped to his feet and interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact day this happened.The missionary told the congregation the date, and the man who interrupted told him this story:"On the night of your incident in Africa, it was morning here and I was preparing to go play golf. I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I called men in this church to meet with me here in the sanctuary to pray for you. Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?"The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn't concerned with who they were, he was too busy counting how many men he saw.

There were 26.

This story is an incredible example of how the Spirit of the Lord moves in mysterious ways. If you ever hear such prodding, go along with it.Nothing is ever hurt by prayer except the gates of hell. I encourage you to forward this to as many people as you know.If we all take it to heart, we can turn this world toward God once again. As the above true story clearly illustrates, "with God all things are possible". More importantly, how God hears and answers the prayers of the faithful.After you read this, please pass it on and give God thanks for the beautiful gift of your faith, for the powerful gift of prayer, and for the many miracles He works in your own daily life... and then pass it on. Who says God does not work in mysterious ways I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today. To guide you and protect you as you go along your way. His love is always with you, His promises are true, and when we give Him our cares you know He will see us through.So when the road you're traveling on seems difficult at best, Just remember I'm here praying, and God will do the rest.Pass this on to those whom you want God to bless

November 9, 2008 "Welcome to the Christian World!" Omarion Francis Tanyag Pajutan, the youngest angel in the family. He is the son of my cousin Lanie (Lailanie Tanyag). He was a big boy at his age of 1 month and 2 weeks. The proud parents are so happy as we welcome him last Sunday, a day before the birthday of my Tito Eddie (Lanie's Father), died 7 years ago.
Its after 11 years since the birth of my youngest nephew. My brother and Lanie are the only married in the family.
I'm one who stand by as Godparent to Marion with me are Lanie & Ninoy's friend.

Last Sunday, my brother was on his way back to our house from down town market (Palengke) when he fell down (self accident) from his motorcycle. Thanks God! He did not suffer much injuries than his right arm which needs to undergo a minor surgery. As seen in the x-ray the arm bone joint dislocate. This is the second time that the said bone was dislocated. The first one was when he was only 8 years old when he met an accident while riding in a bicycle. He is now ok with a cast on his right arm for 1 month.

I has reading the news this morning when I saw this article regarding the Philippines' richest. With the struggle on the world economy this people maintain their business in the highest position, although maybe in their own business community they also have their own struggle. Just like on weekends when go the mall (particularly SM), there are still many people maybe window shopping or just having fun on strolling around. Even on strolling around you will still spend some money for snacks and drinks. This is one of the reason why Henry Sy is on the top as of October 15, 2008.

Last Sunday night, I watched the documentary episode of ABS-CBN with regards to the social responsibility of the top company entitled "Walang Iwanan". Its good to know that in their own unique and little way they are helping our fellowmen.

A new Mobile Phone

I was at the mall yesterday to pay my utility bills (suncell & credit card). I saw this cell phone and I had a love at first sight. It cost expensive (+/- P18K). I don't buy cellphones. I just have it free from my line subscription (Globe & Sun) and the one I'm using right now is a Christmas gift last year from a friend (Nokia N73).

Its a Sony Ericsson's G900 cell phone. Its so slim and the camera is 5MP. The external memory is expandable up to 8GB, the weight is only 99g. One thing that I like is Wi-Fi ready. I could retrieve/read plain mails (exchange active sync) Hmmmm I'm about to search some site with regards to the review of this phone.
Imagine!!! Wow I really like it. Hmmmm but I have to think it again.... and again.... again.... I just give an update....

THE BEACH : Year 2003-2005 when I was assigned to La Union, as Treasury Auditor / at the same time I managed the company’s AR for Region 1 & 2. I was staying in a resort hotel for almost 2 years. There I had many realizations being alone, its only GOD who I believed is with during those days, I became I nature lover. At the back of the hotel was a beautiful GOD’s creation “The Beach”. The sound of the waves relaxes me from the pressure of my daily routine. Along the way during weekends are the moutains and trees.
THE PICTURES (upward) : These are the pictures as I grew up, to where my journey starts. I have been walking thru the path of life for more than 3 decades. I’d gone thru a lot of pains; the lost of our business (because of fire), my failure to CPA board exam, my heart aches and the most painful the lost of my love ones (may they rest in peace).
All this pains does not stop me from searching/growing. This challenges me and keeps my trust in HIM. “HAPPINESS does not consist of having what you want but wanting what you have” I undertake every effort I can give. I study hard… I work hard… and I pray hard
Finally, everything has been paid off. I had a wonderful and supporting family. I had a good job. I had friends who stand with me in my ups and downs. I had a very special friend who encourages and supports me in my endeavors. Most specially, I had HIM (JESUS CHIRST) who always patiently forgives my short comings, guides me thru my journey, protects me from any impairment, and LOVES me unconditional. I too could not forget our own Mother, Mama Mary who always intercedes every wishes of my heart. But of course to my beloved Alma Mater patron/patroness: St. Paul the Apostles, St. Magdalene of Canossa and St. Josephine Bakita, to which I look unto their virtues of faithfulness, humility and charity.
You can see from the pictures how I grow and mature. I always reminisce the days I was a child… teen… adult... and now I'm a grown up facing the world of challenges.

Another Sale Fare from CEBU Pacific

From our sister company announcement. Last night I received an e-mail from a friend working at Cebu Pacific. It's another seat sale for both domestic and internation flights. You may log on at Cebu Pacific for on line booking.

CEB offers 200,000 domestic seats for as low as P288 all-in; International seat sale starting from ZERO fares.

After the sold-out absolute zero all-in seat sale last week, Cebu Pacific (CEB) is offering another seat sale for all its domestic routes and some of its international services.

CEB offers ‘all-inclusive’ Go Lite fares of P288 for services from Manila to Busuanga, Kalibo, Laoag, Legaspi, Naga, San Jose and Tuguegarao and for flights from Cebu to Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Dipolog, GenSan, Iloilo, Ozamiz, Surigao, and Tacloban.

In addition, services from Luzon to other Visayas and Mindanao destinations have a Go Lite all-in fare of P688 one-way. The same fare applies to its intra-Visayas and Mindanao flights.

The domestic seat sale will run from September 26 to October 3, 2008 and is valid for travel from November 1 to December 17, 2008. More than 200,000 domestic seats are allocated for this seat sale. The promo is non-refundable.

On its international network, CEB is offering a one-way ZERO fare for its direct services from Clark to Bangkok and from Manila to Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu.

The airline is also offering a P688 one-way Go Lite fare from Manila to Bangkok, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh, Jakarta, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, and Taipei and from Cebu and Davao to Singapore and Hong Kong. Moreover, the one-way Go Lite fare for its new service from Manila to Osaka is P1,799.

The international seat sale will run from September 26 to October 3, 2008 and is valid for travel from November 15, 2008 to January 14, 2009. International fares quoted are exclusive of applicable fees, taxes and surcharges.

Go Lite fares quoted are for passengers traveling with no check-in baggage. Passengers with check-in bags just have to add P200 to the fare.

Candice Iyog, CEB vice president for marketing and distribution said, “We are providing the public with very low fares to stimulate travel in the last quarter of the year. We also hope that this will allow more Filipinos to be with their families during the holidays.”

“This should also encourage tourist arrivals during the most festive time of the year,” she added.

Iyog concluded, “We encourage the public to act fast and book their flights through cebupacifcair.com, call the reservations hotline (632) 70-20-888, or visit their the travel agents.”

Now in its 13th year, CEB has the youngest aircraft fleet in the Philippines. It will fly to 27 domestic destinations with the addition of Busuanga, Ozamiz, and Surigao in the coming months and 15 international destinations with the addition of Osaka, Japan in November.

My nephew took a photo by himself... Look!!! I was surprised! He took it well and nice...

He was on his 6th grade at Canossa College, San Pablo and very active when it comes to extra curricular activities of the school. Every weekend he asks permission to go to school or some places for school activities... He was the President of Environmental Police for Seven lakes. Just last weekend he went to a tree planting activity. He was also a member of the Kids for Christ. A very diligent kid when it comes to his study and want every thing in order. He makes it a point to have his project done a day before the submission date.

No wonder that he grown up that way.... Yuuuppp I was the one who stands as her guardian. Hmmmm LOL!!!!!

I Don't have work tomorrow, Sept. 24. Calamba Local Holiday in honor of late Speaker Yulo, Sr. I got a chance and time to change my site. I hope everyone likes these. I'm not yet satisfied but its already 1am, my eyes are closing already.

Week end recap : I cooked our luch last Sunday.... This is the first again after so months... My Dad ask me to cook. It's Kare-kare, Pinangat ng Yellow fin and relyenong itlog. It teaste delicious, well that is the comment of my Dad and nephews. I believe because nothing was left for dinner. hhhhmmmmm "walang aangal"

I woke up late this morning because I was not feeling well last night. I had a severe head ache after we arrived home from SM-Lipa. Charise Pempengco is the new singing sensation. The quality of her voice amaze everybody. I watched her life story at "Maalala mo kaya", she is good and very sweet child. Her mom too is a good person indeed.

Just this week Charise was invited by Celine to her concert at Madison Garden. This is how Charice was introduce by Celine:

"They actually told me about an incredible young singer that she [Oprah Winfrey] discovered a while back. You know, if you watch Oprah last week, you know all about her. This young lady's name is Charice. I'm so excited. She's 16 years old and she's from the Philippines.
"Let me tell you, she has a voice that can literally blow the roof off Madison Square Garden and she just might. But the real story is how Charice and her mom escaped the terrifying experience and had to leave Charice's violent father. You know, to start a life of their own.

"Charice vowed to save her mom from a life of desperation and despair. You know, through prayers and dreams and God-given talent, an incredible voice, Charice entered every singing contest in her native country and [was] eventually noticed by such influential people.
"You know, a show in Oprah and Oprah wanted to take her and took her under her wings. Then, the David Foster joined her. I had the chance to see Charice perform one of my songs on Oprah last week. External Hard drive

I brought this MaxtorOne touch External Hard Disk 160GB last March. It was on a big sale when we had a window shopping. Since my Aucle from gave a Lap top I brought this one to back up my files both personal and office reports. As of today this one is ok for me. I program it to update / backup files everyday at 12 noon and 4:30 pm. It comes also with a recovery CD disk in cases the hard disk failed.

This really helps me a lot. I'm happy because I could now store as many pictures as I want without reducing the pixels and even my scrap goodies.

The remains of Lolo Tero, Lola Chonching & Tita Mita were transfer from San Pablo public cementary to San Pablo Memorial. August 31 is the 5th Death year anniversary of Lola Conching. She died in 2003 because of Diabetes complication. It was morning of August 31, 2003 when my mom find out that she was already dead in bed. She was about to call her (my Lola) for breakfast.

Lolo Tero died August 21, 2000 due to heart attack. He was declared as Dead on arrival at Medical Center Hospital.

Tita Mita died August 16, 1981, cancer of the liver. She was diagnose late 1980 and under went an operation at Makati Medical Center after 10 months she past away. My auntie was the one who took care of me when I was an infant. My parents then are working.

Eternal Rest Grant unto them Oh Lord.
And Let Perpetual life shine upon them.
May them rest in Peace. Amen

My eldest nephew Justine went home last Friday with 2 ribbons. "Surprise!!!!!" sabi niya when he got home. We don't know that he joined the academic contest. The first was a third place ribbon for HEKASI (Heograpiya, kasaysayan at Sining) and the other one was a first place ribbon for "Timpalak Bigkasan" (Declamation). I told him that I did not see him practicing the poem. He just to told me that he pratice while takins a bath.... LOL!!!! what I boy! Instead of singing inside the bathroom, he recites a poem.

My mom bought Ice cream, pancit and cake.

I am happy at narito na ulit ako para makapag post sa Blog. Sa sobrang dami ng trabaho ko ay hindi ko na talaga magawa ang mag-update ng blog ko. This is the least thing I would do for my everyday routine. Kahit ang pag-scrap ko ay hindi ko na rin magawa. Madami na akong pictures for scrapping but as I said medyo wala pang time.

Ngayon bakit ako nandito??? Kasi medyo madami na sa mga project namin ang natapos. By next month, September ay ang huling buwan nanamin for Fiscal year 2008. Yes! October ang new year namin for accouting cycle. Kaya sigurado sobra madami nanaman work sa October. Ano nga ba ang trabaho ko? Employed ako sa isang Munti-national food manufacturing company and ako ay under sa Treasury Group. Isa akong Credit & Collection Officer for provincial operation. Sa Calamba, Laguna ang office namin. Our group work with sales for South Luzon (Cavite - Bicol Region). Enjoy naman ako kaya lang syempre minsan sa dami ng work eh talagang nakakainis na rin. As of the moment masasabi ko naman masaya pa rin ako sa work. This is the reason why I'm already 7 years with the company.

Looking back, December pa pala ang last post ko hehehehe... madami na talagang nangyari sa 8 months. Well I'll try to look back some experience from January to July.... hmmmm let me start.

January

Syempre New year celebration at the same time it's the birthday of my youngest sister, Happee. Simple lang we have a medya-noche with the whole family. After lunch every new year is a get togther with my Unties, Uncles & cousins from my mother side (Tanyag Family). May konting palaro... kantahan at syempre ang inaabangan ng lahat ang exchange gift. Last week of January marks as our 1st qrt Business Review with Bicol Region Distributors.

February

It's a love month. I celebrated the Valentine's Day with a friend. Nag-dinner kami and syempre nag-kuwentohan. Ang sarap isipin that talagang ang bilis ng panahon. Aside from Valentine its my 2 nephews birthday. The eldest February 21 & the other one is February 2. A simple celebration. Nag lunch lang kami sa Dampa. After nag laro sila sa "fun Ranch" infront of Tiendesitas. Hay naku mga bata nga.... It's 6pm already and ayaw pa nila umuwi.

March

Holy week.... Yearly nag-Visita Iglesia kami. For this year sa upper laguna and quezon kami nag punta (Rizal-Liliw-Majayjay-Kamay ni Jesus sa Tayabas). This is also my birth month. Hay ang bilis ng panahon. I'm already 34 years old. Thanks God for the gifts he has given me. I am truly blessed isang masayang family, maraming kaibaigan at magandang trabaho. Since may visitor kami madami kaming napuntahang lugar. (1) Sa Baguio City, since birth daw kasi hindi pa nakakarating ang Tito ko sa lugar na iyon. (2) Antipolo (3) Liliw and Tayabas (4) Caliraya (5) Tagaytay (6) Pagbilao, Quezon. At naku parang nakalimutan ko na ang iba pang lugar na pinuntahan namin sa dami. Almost every week end eh nasalansangan kami. My most unforgetable dumating ang friend kung madre galing Africa. Together with my HS friend we went to Tagaytay to meet her. Ang saya-saya kahit 3 lang kami dahil ang iba ay may commitment na. Masarap na hangin... pagkain at higit sa lahat an kuwentohan.

It's a month fill with company activites. The annual Sprortsfest.... Hmmmmm yes tama ang nakikita nyo, isa ako sa mga volley ball player. Huwag tawaran ang aming kakayahan.... Kami lang naman ang nag CHAMPION!!!!! Congrats to my teammate.... Magagaling SILANG LAHAT... ooooppppssss KAMING LAHAT pala. This is also the month kung saan nag celebrate ang 3 kung kaibigan ng 25 years anniversary nila sa vocation nila. They are truly servant of GOD. More power and you're always in my prayers. Wow ang hinihintay ng lahat, our company summer outing at Laiya, San Juan Batangas. Masaya kahit na malakas ang alon. Lastly, ang birthday ng brother ko. It's a simple swimming celebration. huhuhuhuhu inilan kami.... sobra lamig tuloy ng simoy ng hangin.

The annual URC sales conference was held last November 25-28 at Fontana Leisure Park & Casino, Clark Pampanga.

We stayed at the Villas at Fontana Village. I together with my four colleagues are in one Villa. Check-in starts at around 3pm Sunday, Nov. 25.

First Day : The sun does not shine, it was an out door activity. They decided to held the breakfast and cheering competion at the conference hall instead at the park. Wow! but the event still becomes successful. In the afternoon, with some raindrops the games are still push through. The rain could not stop the fun of being together. No works... No follow ups... No sales order and of course.... No meeting!!!

The evening was field with fun with the announcement of winners. 4th place was my team Balance Luzon; 3rd place goes to National Key Accounts Group (NKAG); 2nd place goes to GMA group and the Grand prize goes to VISMIN group. VISMIN were the champions for 3 consecutive years. Hooorraaayyyyy!!!! KUDOS to everyone!!!!

Second Day : A day filled with looking back on the performance achieved last Fiscal Year. Different brands presented the achievements, goals and strategy for coming FY 2008. A commitment on sales for different area was presented and the commitment support of different groups.
The conference will not be complete without the "BIG NIGHT" as an opening Mr. Lance Gokongwei gave his inspirational talk. The night was hosted by Mylene Dizon. The 2nd JG awards was given to sales personnel who achieved the highest sales performance. For our area South Luzon many have been given such prestigious award.

Today, November 14 is Mommy's 57th Birthday... We have a simple celebration today just a dinner of the whole family. We already celebrated her Birthday last Sunday. It was also a thanks giving for her after surviving 538 sugar level. Yes!!!!! Her sugar reached 538 last Thursday so my Dad and Brother rushed her to hospital because she collapsed. It was the first time that she was diagnose with Diabetes. Thanks God that nothing serious happened. The Doctor says that she has a good health because if not the worst that had happen is that she might be comatose.

Thank to everyone who offer prayers for her fast recovery.....

Congress Hall tragic night

It was a tragic night in the congress hall yesterday, November 13. A bomb exploded at around 8 in the evening. Six persons were reportedly injured when an explosion hit the Batasang Pambansa complex in Quezon City Tuesday night.Initial reports said the blast took place at the south lobby of the building around 8 p.m.It was not immediately ascertained if the injured were members of the House of Representatives or building employees.

There really people who are very annoyed. They intentional destroy the unity. Let us pray for the people who affected by the incident. (ABS-CBN news)

After a long month.... I'm back to share again my journey....

I was so busy with my office work for the past 6 months.... hmmmmm near to a year. I missed lot of things:

1) I stopped my digiscrap booking.

2) I stopped to update my blog.

3) I don't go to mall for window shopping.

4) I missed to hang out with my cousins and friends.

Now, after so many months here are the fruits.

Back 6 months ago. Almost every week there are meetings, conferences, reports and of course talking to my colleagues to plan. It's only Sunday that I had my free time. Well, I pamper myself during Sunday.... Sleeping until 10am... eating and sleeping again after lunch.

Now that our Fiscal year ends last September I got some few time to blog and work out my pending digiscrap layouts. I have lots to picture to scrap.... One at a time.... This is the thing I love to do to free myself from stress of office work. WOW!!! LOL!!!! Success I finally finished something.

First Layout is pictures taken during my cousin (Lanie) wedding at Ayala Alabang. I used Shabby Princess - Harvest Spice Kit.

Second Layout is our family tree. Actually this is the first layout I finished. I just look for a picture of a tree and pasted our pictures. Hmmmmm but I knew it does not look perfect. Anyway I'll try again some day to do another family tree.

The Family celebrate New Year with a "BBLLLAAAASSSSSSTSS" It's not only New Year but a Birthday celebration of the youngest in the family. Yes! Its Happee's birthday!

I cooked all kinds of Pasta: Lasagna, Fetticine, Spaghetti. Lechon Manok, chicken with ham and cheese, Fruits, ube and leche plan are present and only this year we have "ginataang bilo-bilo" and "suman." Present on the table is the golden PIG eventhough that its not yet Lunar new year we already placed it on the table. A basket of oranges are hang on the entrance of our house as other says its for Good Luck.

It's only 5 before 12 midnght of December 31 when my brothers started the fireworks.... It a combination of Dragon & some from Bulacan, given by my brother father-in-law..... Wonderful colors... The whole family enjoyed watching and taking pictures.

Office Christmas Party

We celebrated the our Christmas Party in the office last December 21. A combine forces from Sales, Logistics amd of course my department, Treasury. It's really a day to forget all those reports, e-mails and other office works. It started at about 4pm at our new office (still under renovation). Every is game na game. As the committee budget head, thank you for all who send there pledges.

I received a lot of gifts for raffle and added some more from the excess money. Many also send foods. Imagine we received 2 pork lechons and 10 bilao of different kind of Pansit, Lechon manok is also plenty plus of course from the production department thank you for the C2 teas that you send to us.

Major raffle was won by Jojo Parentela of Sales. Congratulations!!!!

Christmas Celebration

At last I'm Back!!! No long holiday for office. Vacations were only last Dec. 24 - 26 and Dec 30 - Jan 1. Since, its a year end, head office needs a lot of updates and reports..... Gossssshhhh I can't really imagine myself during that time. One thing I missed is my digiscrap.... I could not do it during does days of vacation and weekends because I need to prepare gifts for my family, "ina-anaks" at officemates. Secondly, I need to finish our CD souvenir for our HS reunion.

Christmas time, we heard mass at Bay, Laguna were our Priest Family friend is assigned. Its a long long time when we last visted him. I do not even remember when was that. It a nice homily that reminds to everyone that Christmas is everyday, everyminute of our life. He also reminds everyone not to be fun of giving toy guns and other harmful toys as a present to the children.

I just stayed a home the rest of the afternoon working for our reunion souvenir. Many came to greet... my High School barkada (dec 24), my auties and uncles, my cousins and other family friend.

My mommy prepared a simple lunch and dinner. I cooked leche plan and fruit salad for desserts. My brother cooked Pork pastel.

Canossa HS91 Reunion

At last after 15 long years..... We met each other again....

I attended Canossa College, San Pablo City High School Batch 91 reunion last December 30. I was so happy to see again so friend that I have not seen after graduation. Wow nice to see HS partners that ended up to be a lovely coupled, May Perez and Michael Emlano & Joy Gallivo and Allain Alvero. They are happily leaving together with their children.

URC National Sales Conference

I attended the URC National Sales Conference last November 20 & 21 at Crowne Plaza Hotel. This year marks as the 50th Anniversary of the Company with the theme “RIDE”.

Day 1, Nov. 20 starts at around 10 am with the registration and check-in of our valued Distributors followed by a Lunch. The program proper starts immediately after lunch. An opening remarks by Mr. Pet Bautista , Executive Vice President and Managing Director. Afterwards, it was followed by series of presentation from Sales and Support Group for the overview in FY2007. Before the afternoon end a small workshop was given.

Day 2, Nov 21, it was started with the brand presentation that separated the Grocery Division and Beverage division venues. Mid afternoon after the coffee break was the presentation JG Awardees. An Opening Remarks was given by Ms. Robina Gokongwei-Pe. Congratulations to the winners especially to the beloved husband of my friend, Aireen. Nanding Gara received the Award for Outstanding Unit Manager for General Trade. Mr. Lance Gonkongwei, JG Summit President, had the closing remarks. I was an afternoon full of excitements and learnings with the presence of Mr. John Gokongwei.

The most awaited event of the conference the BIG NIGHT. Each group have presented with regards to the decade assigned to them. The winner will received P25,000, 2nd prize P15,000.00 and 3rd prize P10,000.00

I got time last Sunday to decorate our house ready for Christmas. Since Christmas is fast approaching no one but me will decorate our house. I asked my friend para ibili ako ng Capiz na Parol from San Ferenando, Pampanga. In San Fernando, you can buy all kinds of Capiz Latern at a lower price. Si Mommy hanap ang mga pinaka-murang pang decor kaya sa divisoria siya namili. Wow.... Hindi na rin naman panghuli ang mga binili ni Mommy.

After 4 hours at long last I finished. The result well, I just put on the gold sinamay anf form it like a ribbon with the cherry as holder. Instead of starts I put an angel on the top on the Christmas Tree. Hindi mawawala siyempre ang ang mga flowers.

Ano kayang halaga ng tagumpay sa career if it has been achieved at the expense of the family. What profit does a man have Kung mawawala naman ang kanyang pamilya? OO nga, meron siyang salapi na milyon ang halaga, magandang mansyon, travels around the world, and cavorts with an array of girls, women, and ladies, pero naman ang kapalit kung ikaw naman ay being hated by your daughters and is the mortal enemy of your sons. Can success in career really make up for failure at home?

Which then is more important, wealth or family? A great number of us would readily say family. Pero totoo kaya na ang ating sinasabi ay ating ginagawa. But do we walk our talk ika nga? Are we willing to translate our mindsets into concrete actions? Day by day, we are bombarded by 52 million dollar questions, Sino ba ang mahalaga ang mga anak ko o ang trabaho ko.

To my fellow employees, I don't know how you react out there or would answer my questions. In my case, as an accountant who always spend overtime in the office to be able to submit deadline reports come month-end or cut-off period, I have made unforgivable mistakes? If I have to live my life again, I would need to overhaul my priorities, to re-channel the efforts that I have been exerting with passions and commitment. I thought all along na ang lahat ng ginagawa kong pagpapahirap at pagtratrabaho to the max to get a promotion, I am doing it all for the family. But I was wrong.

Today I know better. When my wife or daughter is on the phone I make sure that I attend to them first, never mind if there are urgent things to attend or papers to submit to my superior, after all they can wait for 10 minutes...but if I deny the 10 minutes that is so important to them, it would have a lasting effect than to my Boss who might be replaced in a couple of years. My family is my top priority, period. It is not a choice between my family and my career.

MY FAMILY IS THE REASON WHY I NEED A CAREER. My career will come and go employers can come and go but one's family will remain even beyond the grave. They even take care of our graves. Noon kahit mayroon affairs sa school ang aking mga anak, I'd tend to preponderate toward the official duty and delegate the affairs of my kids to my wife. I used to operate on the paradigm that I should focus on the duty first before pleasure. Now I know that MY first duty is toward my loved ones. I should put my time where my heart belongs.

Today if I will to do it all over again, I'd reverse my priorities. My son will only graduate once in elementary and only once in high school, I will make sure I will be there, I will file my vacation leave and if my Boss rejected it because I need to attend to a company function where I am required to attend, I would still go to my kids graduation no matter what the consequences are. This time I am willing to become an average corporate officer, a so-so business executive but a great father. I'm willing to be reprimanded by my Boss for a late report but not hated by a daughter for not remembering her birthday every year.....na ilalabas ko siya the whole day and cherish the moments every minute dahil alam ko hindi ko na maibabalik ito kapag lumaki na siya at kung gawin ko man later, baka huli na. There are more important matters compared to corporate business meetings, Family peace and love- these are the ones that matter most.
BUT I SPEAK ONLY FOR MYSELF. I DO NOT IMPOSE VALUES ON YOU GUYS OUT THERE.
If you think possessions are more important than family, go ahead. Spend 20 hours in the office, bring home your corporate work. Neglect your wife. don't spend quality time with your kids. don't attend important family gatherings. Find work that you are away for a week and only meet your family every week-ends, oh what a waste. Delegate raising the children to your spouse. Leave the young kids to the nanny. Let the driver brings your kids to school. Ask someone to represent in your son college graduation. If you find something wrong at home, don't mind it, anyway your concentration is in your job. You have your career remember? Don't greet your father and mother on their anniversary. Spend all your time in the company. Baka mawala ang tiwala ng Boss mo sa iyo sayang ang pinagpaguran mo ng matagal.
If you have aging parents, don't visit them. enjoy your career in isolation. Drink, dance, be merry, But in the end, you lose all the love ones who love you more, after neglecting them. No wife, no kids, no family. you are alone and pretending to be happy. don't blame your company. don't lay the Burden on your Boss. Hindi ba You made the choice? You opted to put more value on your career. Dahil sabi mo pinaghirapan mo lahat ito and pangarap mo na ito simula pagkabata dahil mahirap ka lang ikaw muna...gusto mong yumaman. You gambled and you lost. I know of an executive na masyadong depressed...every week lang siyang umuwi sa pamilya niya. Week-ends lang niya nalalaro ang mga bata kung minsan required pa mag-stay ng sabado sa office, who finds no meaning in his life, he's got the money, a beautiful wife who according to him might be hiding something from him (you know what I mean) and the kids are not genuinely closed to him, for no apparent reason he had pulled the trigger to his head. He's got everything and he lost everything. that is the tragedy of it all.

As for me, I know better. After all the pains, the burdens of mistaken priorities, I have made my choice. Anytime, anywhere, my family comes first. My career, my business, my outside clients, all my other pursuits are only means to the end of all my sacrifices, my wife, my sons, my daughters, my family. I shall thus manage my various objectives well. there shall not be conflicting objective anymore. For I now know clearly my prioroties and I shall be faithful to them. I shall be willing to give them up; excess money, much comfort, travels, and girls for and in the name of the family. that is simple and straighforward.

Are you aware that if we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think? And we often treat strangers and coworkers better than members of our family.

A Day for my Grandparents

It was about 9 in the morning when we went to the grave of my grandparents to bring some flowers and candles. Our first drop was at the Chinese cemetery to visit the sister of my lola, Nanay Choleng and Papa Ente. Next is the parent of my Father, Nanay Tinay and Mamay Basio. Lastly, we went to the grave of Lolo Tero and Lola Conching, with the crypt of Tita Mita. We stayed until 6 in the evening.

Nice to to share stories / jokes with my cousins and relatives.

I was fortunate enough to meet Sr. Lydia A. Pablo, as her close friends call her Sr. Lee. It was a remarkable experience when we first meet. I was in First Year High School then. To make the story short, I was really embarrassed that time. It was my first time to go to school with homework and I was caught by her. Well, that is life and I take it as learning. I hated her.

When I bang her at the school corridor I moved my head away from her way. Hmmmm I snubbed her. I was a naughty child that time. I can’t exactly remember why we talked; I just recall it’s near the Canossian Sisters cemetery. I had a problem but I can’t recall it and how I approached her. Anyway she helps me a lot and she helps me how to become a better person.

From that day on. I consider her as one of my friends and the start of having friends with the Canossian Sisters. So sad that we share one a few month. Sr. Lee was transferred to Paco, Manila for her new responsibilities.. I wrote her a letter for sometime…. Updating her of what is happening with me.. In special occasion like Feast days, Birthday and Christmas I give her a phone call. We had a continuous communication. I was known in every community where she was assigned and I am pleased to be introduced as her niece.

I take the CPA Board exam and I failed. It was in her shoulder that I rested and cried. The first time that I take a bus alone going to Tagaytay. YES! ALONE! At first I was nervous and I don’t know what to do. I can’t even remember where I got the money. I know that time how the miracle of God works. I slept with her overnight. It really hurts me but she consoled me. It was the first time that I did not get what I want, the first time that I was a looser. Thank you Sr. Lee for making me realizes that I’m not always a winner in the game of life.

In many event of my life, she was always with me. It does not take her be visible to share with me, her thoughtfulness’ were always there. She taught me of how to humble and simple. The most serious part of our friendship is when I was on the road of choosing the path where to go and walk. She accompanied me on my journey, walking besides me. I’m so thankful that I was able to go across the road. But as I always says the journey continuous. She is my best friend, my sister, my auntie and my mentor.

Now, we are sharing our two decades of friendship. We do not see and talk each other that often but the as we share in prayers our hearts are united as one.

To you my dearest friend Sr. Lee… Thank you

I missed my Lolo & Lola so much,,,, My Lolo passed away August 23, 2000 and my Lola August 31, 2003. I’m my grandparent darling. Since my birth until I graduated Elementary I lived with them. My Auntie Mita looks after me, who died August 16, 1981 due to liver cancer. My parents could not look after me, my Mom has a grocery store and my Dad is a policeman.

Many are envy with me… I have all what I want but I was not a spoiled brat. In return I go home with good grades at achievements. This might be one of the reason why I enjoy being alone and work by myself. During my childhood with them they never let me play with other children they just bought me toys to play with,

On my teen age years this is one of my regrets in life. I do not know how to be with people and how to share out. Even in making decision I always asked somebody before I come up to a decision. I’m a very dependent person.

As days passes by… things changes… My college life taught me how to be independent. I fixed my own bedroom. I washed my underwear’s and I prepared my own foods. I have nothing to count on… Lola, Lolo, Mommy, Daddy & no even maid is not around. I realized that things can be learned if no one is with you.

Thank you my dear Lolo & Lola for molding me to a good person as I am now.
Thank you for bringing up my mother in this world.
Thank you for always being there for us (family)
Thank you so much for sharing with us your very life up to your last seconds of your life in this world.

To where I am now… To what I have now… I owe all this things to you….

Family Day at Star City

October 15, URC organized a family day outing at Star City. Every Single emplyeee is given an extra ticket to bring with her a companion. Since, my boss and some of my officemates are not not going they gave me their ticket. In total we had 8 tickets. Now we only lacks 5 tickets for the whole family. I bought 2 ride all you can ticket, which cost P150.00 (only for URC employees that day and 3 entrance ticke. Kill joy si Mommy at Daddy ayaw mag-rides....

It started with a mass at 9:00 am and a short program. Then, the most awaiting the rides are open. YEeeehhheeeeyyy! My nephews are so excited with it...

After 2 Months.... I did it Again

At last I got time to post again.... I'm a full time office girl. I stay in the office from 8am up to sometimes 8 in the evening.... from Monday to Saturday... YES!!!! I wrote it right Saturday.... Hay!!! Its how my life goes everyday... On Sundays, I give thanks to God... I go to mass and after I'll be back to bed and have some sleep for the rest of the day.... (Kain lang ang pahinga")

Now, I have to finish first all my office works and reports. Our company fiscal year starts every October to September (accounting Cycle!) So imagine all the reports needed this October for balances of September.... Nakakamatay!!!!! Well, thats how life goes.... just take one step at a time and everything will be finish.

No more works... Time to relax and share something with you. This are my makukulit na nephew. Simula sa pagising hangang sa pagtulog nagkukulitan at nag-aasaran. But they have a good grade when it comes to studies.... In a few years from now they will be going to Canada to be with their Mother, a nurse in Canada.

The eldest Justine is a Second Honor Student and always the school representative for Math Competitions.

Jan-jan is an average student, who loves dancing and singing

After, the school affair last Sunday, the went to Sampaloc Lake (San Pablo City) just for a walk and to take some pictures to share with their Mom.

The days with ledgers and calculators. The first few days in my college life is so horrible. First time that I was away from home. I stayed at the school dormitory. Imagine I just walk from the dormitory to our classrooms... that sometime only sometimes I came late.... these are the times that I sleep and I don't mind my alarm clock.

Meeting new sets of friends relief me from homesickness. My roommates are so friendly as well as with my classmates. I still remember Sister Guadalupe, spc and Manang Amparo who guided me for my 4 years of stay in the dormitory.

At our first year we were around 40. Everytime that semester end I was so nervous of what awaits me. Before enrolment our accounting professors have to evaluate if we could enroll on the same course or shift to another. Thanks God I was able to survive.

On our fourth year we end up at 15. 13 of us came from the same batch (block section). Yes! I stay alive. After graduation, I went to a review school for the CPA board exam but I was not able to pass it.

I was a simple celebration at home. As early as January Mom is so busy preparing. Being ehe eldest grandchild in the family everyone has his own participation. The guset are mostly are family close friends and relatives. I have only my five friends in Highschool and two college roommate.

I graduated my High school at Canossa College, San Pablo City. To value friendship is the most important I learned. My friends.... Classmates.... Canossian Sisters.... Priests..... Social Workers and even Elementary Public school students, where we teach catechism.

I was happy by then at last I'm now staying at my parents house because nobody will took care of me. All my Aunties are now married. My Lolo at Lola are busy with the business. At first I was so excited to be with my brothers and sister. But misunderstanding always creeps in....

I have been active with the extra curricular activities. I like to be always involved in the activities outside the school... Visiting the sick... teaching catechism in the parish or public school..... and anything that I could be at help with others.

On my 3rd year, I was lucky to be one of the participant in the Canossa Youth Congress held in Mindanao. The first time I traveled by plane..... The group touched down at Cagayan de Oro from there its around 4 hours drive. We passed by the Del Monte Pineapple plantation at Bukidnon. The Pineapples are sweet and very delicious. Going back to Manila was by Boat and we had our stop over at Cebu. Sr. Norma family is so hospitable. They tour us around Cebu. Back to Manila and back to school again...

Junior Senior Prom, a simple celebration not like the other schools I know, evethough it was a meaningful one. The sad moment comes.... Our graduation, every one in the "barkada" felt sad on this days. We have to part ways for our College degree but nevertheless this is not the end but the beginning of another journey in our life.

Proud to say... I got the 3 special awards which I'm very proud.... (1) Mathematics Club Leadership Award (2) Magdalene of Canossa Leadership Award (3) Cathecist of the Year.

My Childhood memories...

The happy memories of my childhood. I grew under the care of my Grandparents. Like a princess.... I had everything I wish for... a nice dress... Dolls and toys. Those are the days I don't worry about the coming days. Just open my mouth and tell what I want. I was chosen as the Ms. Day Care Center.

In every happiness there is also a bit of loneliness. My auntie who took care of me died when I was 7. She died in cancer. I felt so sad and depressed as in literal word: "I like to join her". Life has to move on.

I studied elementary and Highschool at Canossa College, San Pablo City. This period of my life I felt alone at my Grandparents house. My two brothers are with my Dad & Mom. We don't see each other that often. My Dad is a policeman & my Mom manage our grocery store in the public market.
